What do I work on first?

Sometimes the best thing to work on is the thing that’s easiest to change, not the one that’s hurting you the most. For example, if you have issues sleeping and are taking 5 medications, it will be easier to work on your sleep adequacy before you look into possibly reducing the impact your medications have on your balance.

Balance Goal

As you start to help your balance, think about what your balance goal is.

  • Is it to improve in the areas that are hindering your balance?

  • Do you want to start playing a competitive or social sport?

  • Do you want to play with your grandchildren more?

Whatever your goal may be, you can share it with your family and friends so they can support you as you take control of your balance.
