The ZIBRIO Balance Specialist Course is packed full of science in an easy to understand way. Starting from the components of balance, it guides you through the relationship between balance and fall risk, and finally helps you design a comprehensive balance training plan, with appropriate progressions that you can personalize to any client.
UNIT 1:
Science of Balance
Learn about the underlying anatomy and physiology involved in balance so you can create more personalized balance training for your clients.
Course 1: Basic balance anatomy and physiology. You will be learning the basic anatomy and physiology involved in maintaining balance.
Course 2: The basics of adaptation. This course builds on course 1 content and applies the physiology of balance to what human bodies do best – adapt.
Course 3: Performance, detraining & aging. This course applies the knowledge gained in course 1 & 2 to performance.
Unit 2:
Balance, Falling, Risk
Learn statistics associated with falling and what that means for balance, risk and fall prevention.
Course 1: Consequences of Poor Balance. In this lesson you will be learning all about the facts and and statistics surrounding the consequences of poor balance: falling.
Course 2: Fall Prevention Equation. Building on course 1, this course defines a fall prevention equation. A fall is an accident, but it is no accident that a fall occurs. This course takes you through possible contributors to falling and helps you to identify what you can do to help your clients.
Unit 3:
Balance Training
Using knowledge gained in Units 1 & 2, learn about how to create a balance training program.
Course 1: Balance Training Program Creation. A 5-step plan for creating a balance training program.
Course 2: One Leg Stand Progression. You will be learning some exercise progressions for the one leg stand base movement with challenge layers.
Course 3: Squat Progressions. In this course you will be learning some exercise progressions for the squat base movement and challenge layers.
Course 4: Lunge Progressions. In this course you will be learning some exercise progressions for the lunge base movement and challenge layers.
Course 5: Whole Body Agility. In this course you will be learning some whole body agility exercises.

Do I have to complete the entire course in one sitting?
No, after you purchase the course you will have an account on the online course site. You can sign in and out and go through the material at your own pace. All your progress will be saved.
How long does it take?
Most people complete the course in about 3 hours, which includes the time it takes to watch the video lectures and complete the worksheets.

I want to claim CEUs with a different certificate provider, what can I do?
Notify us at info@zibrio.com and we will send you a general course completion letter that you can pass on to your provider. It details course hours, subject matter, which organizations have granted CEU approval, and the date you completed the course.
